Welcome Soccer Fans to TWHS Highlander Soccer 2011- 2012

Highlander Senior Spotlight!

Andres Velasco #14

Family: Andres’s parents are Luis Velasco and Yelitza Soto.

Soccer: His favorite soccer teams are Chelsea F.C and Bayern Munchen. Andres’s favorite soccer moments are when the team celebrates after scoring a goal.

Goal: Andres’s personal goal this year is to score at least 5 goals and either lead or be close to leading the team in assists.

Extra-curricular Activities: Andres has been very active at TWHS with Anchor Club, German Club, National Honor Society, and National Science Honor Society.

Influential teacher or coach: Andres cites Ms. De Pieri (Doc) because she came from a similar background and was able to receive a doctorate degree through pure hard work.

Leadership: To the Highlander underclassmen Andres’s advice is "Don’t leave the field thinking you could have tried harder. Effort and Passion on the field is extremely important."

Next Step: Andres will g o to College and become either a Biomedical or Chemical Engineer.

The Kroger Card Share Program is EASY money, and every time you shop at Kroger, TWHS Boys Soccer Booster Club gets 5% of the total bill.

There is no cost to you – you just have to buy groceries!!!

And, of course, we would like to say a big “ Thank You” to those families who have helped us over the summer months by using their cards!!

But think of the money we could earn if we would all use our Kroger cards.

HERE’S HOW TO DO IT:

Get a Kroger prepaid gift card from the Highlander Soccer Booster Club by emailing:

Kevin Corrigan at: kevcorrigan@comcast.net and get one through the mail or at the next booster club meeting.
Each card has $1 loaded. To use, simply load the card with any amount up to $500 (cash, check or credit) at any Kroger customer service desk. Then buy your groceries with the card! It’s as simple as that!!!
When your card is depleted, just re-load it at the register before you check out.

area and the perfect spot to cheer the Highlanders onto victory!

Highlander Soccer joins the other TWHS Sports Teams in The Walk of Champions...all paying tribute to the many individual players, teams, families
and coaches who have dedicated themselves to their high school and their sport.
